Tired, exhausted after my long day
Back in my room, ready to hit the hay
But wait a minute, something's not right
Something's missing, that I can't cite
Sit and think, look around
What can it be that can't be found?

And then it hit me like a slap in the face
My bear was gone, without a trace!
Where could he be, I wonder, as tears slip and fall
and then I hear a slight tapping on the wall
Turn to look, a whisper I hear
Could it be evil spirits, as I fear?

Instead, I see two pixies, before me they stand
Dainty are they, as tall as the palm of my hand

A whispered conference before me they tell
My bear kidnapped and brought to the dell
An exchange of favours was what the pixies asked
They'd return my bear in exchange for a flask
of special 'nectar' found only in the bar
I was lost till they yelled "Absolut Vodka"!

Outrageous were these pixies, but I agreed
A bottle of vodka for my bear indeed
Half an hour later, my bear safe and sound
As promised, by my word bound
I handed the pixies the vodka, and they ran away
Before I could ask questions or anything else say

A loud thump, and I was suddenly awake
'twas only a dream, for goodness sake
Crazy imagination, madness by the light of dawn
Until I noticed, my vodka was gone!
So did I dream it, or was it true?
Beware the alcoholic pixies, they might come cheat you :P
Ruth [link] wanted a poem about my bear being rescued by the fairyfolk. An alternative image of pixies; they're not as innocent as our storybooks would like us to believe :P (Razz) *grins*

You have to give them credit though; they know the good stuff, lol. 'tis fairytales for the older crowd, hah!

Penned for the lovely lady ;D
